The Province of Chefchaouen is located in northern Morocco, the Rif chain, with an extension of 4,350 km2 and a population of approximately 450,000 inhabitants.

The province is bounded on the north by the Mediterranean Sea, south by the provinces of Sidi Kacem Taounate and east by the province of Al Hoceima and west by the provinces of Larache and Tetouan

La Province de Chefchaouen est située au Nord du Maroc, sur la chaîne rifaine; avec une extensión de 4.350 km2 et une population approximative de 450.000 habitants.

La province est limitée au nord par la Méditerranée, au sud par les provinces de Taounate et Sidi Kacem, à l’est par la province de l’Al Hoceima et à l’ouest par les provinces de Tétouan et   Larache

Wedged between two mountains, Chefchaouen is a town of whitewashed houses with blue and white. A powerful charm that we feel the Outa el Hammam in the medina cobblestone. Sitting at a sidewalk cafe, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the Great Mosque Tarik Ben Ziad whose minaret is octagonal inspired by that of the Torre de Oro in Seville. This Andalusian architecture is found in the casbah and gardens in the heart of the medina. Its walls and its eleven crenellated towers, which served as a dungeon, house an interesting ethnographic museum.

Encaissée entre deux montagnes, Chefchaouen est une cité aux maisons chaulées de bleu et de blanc. Un charme puissant que l’on sent bien sur la place Outa-el-Hammam dans la médina pavée de galets. Assis à la terrasse d’un café, vous pouvez profiter de la belle vue sur la grande mosquée Tarik-Ben-Ziad dont le minaret octogonal est inspiré de celui de la Torre de Oro à Séville. Cette architecture andalouse se retrouve dans la casbah et ses jardins, au cœur de la médina. Ses murailles et ses onze tours crénelées, dont une servait de donjon, abritent un intéressant musée ethnographique.
